Limited Learner Permit

  • Limited Learner Permit allows for supervised driving from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the first 6 months.
  • Must be 15 to 17 years old
  • Must have completed a Drivers Education Course and have received a Driving
  • Education Certificate and a Driver’s Eligibility Certificate

Limited Provisional License

  • Unsupervised driving from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and to/from work or any volunteer emergency service work. No more than one passenger under the age of 21 unless other household members present.
  • Must be 16 to 17 years old
  • Have maintained a limited learner permit for 12 months
  • Completed and recorded at least 60 hours of driving
  • Pass an on-the-road test

Full provisional license

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Maintained a limited provisional license for at least 6 months
  • Completed and recorded at least 12 hours of driving

We Work With Your Busy Schedule!

At Faulkner’s Driving School, we know one of common obstacles facing teen drivers is scheduling! Yup, we know, life is BUSY! With this in mind, we have created a flexible program to meet everyones needs. We offer (2) teen driver programs, both with flexible scheduling options to fit your teen’s busy schedule:

  • Any two weekends: Fri-Sat-Sun
  • Any three weekends: Sat-Sun, plus one Sat or Sun
  • Saturdays ONLY: 5 Saturdays from 8am - 2pm
  • Sundays ONLY: 5 Sundays from 1pm - 7pm
*Weekends can be non consecutive

*All weekends classroom sessions are available. You may sign up today and start this weekend or the weekend that you have selected. Driving hours we have two maybe three months backlog. If you are 14.5, you will have no problem. We will guarantee that you will complete the classroom and driving before your 15th birth date.

Attention Teenagers !

You may begin your Driver’s Education Courses at 14.5 years old!


Fulfills NC state requirements for the driver's license exam and includes:

  • (30) hours of classroom instruction
  • AND
  • (6) hours of in-car instruction




Choose either:

  • (30) hours of classroom instruction
  • OR
  • (6) hours of in-car instruction
